1st Call for Innovative ideas – YESS Startup Bootcamp
The Interreg YESS Project (http://interregyess.eu) after the successful event “Mobilizing the Start-up Ecosystem of Epirus” that took place in Ioannina on April 3rd, is moving to the next step with the YESS Startup Bootcamp. The training bootcamp will help you to shape your business idea and develop your business model. In general terms we will help you to mature your idea in multiple levels towards a successful startup! If you have an idea or you are shaping a startup with your friends and you are working in the fields of Blue Growth, Design, e-Health, Tourism, Social Innovation and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) you are invited to join this opportunity completely free!
Interreg YESS Project will give priority to startups coming from the regions of Epirus, Ionian Islands and Western Greece.

Who can join?
We focus in young teams that want to mature their ideas and transform them into a successful startup. Individuals (a.k.a. solopreneurs) that have great ideas are also invited to submit their ideas. Please note Participants in order to apply must have at least one team member with residence from the regions of Epirus, Ionian Islands and Western Greece.
Eligible candidates to the training path are young people from a minimum of 18 to a maximum 35 years old, holding a Secondary School diploma and attending University. Each team applying must be composed of at least 2 eligible candidates and maximum 4 candidates. The selected teams/individuals will be at least 20 and maximum 40. Upon participation applicants will be informed regarding the max number of team members that can bring to the training
What is the objective?
After the training path, beneficiaries will develop adequate beginners’ orientation competences in the fields of marketing strategies, skills and tools for entrepreneurship, project appraisal, business modelling and business planning. For the Topics covered please see the program below.
Which sectors are we targeting?
We are welcoming ideas from any sector with an emphasis in Blue Growth, Design, e-Health, Tourism, Social Innovation and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
Where the bootcamp is taking place?
The training will be in held in within University of Ioannina. Details will be sent to selected participants.
I cannot respond to all questions, shall I not submit my application?
We encourage everyone to participate, even if someone cannot respond to all answers. The questions were made with focus to answer real questions that a startup should address rather sooner or later. The bootcamp is expected to help you shape your business idea, develop your business model and then respond to these questions in a coherent way.
How applicants will be selected?
As limited places exist, the judging committee will evaluate all applications in terms of: a) Innovation of the entrepreneurial idea (20% of the weight in the evaluation) b) Idea feasibility (20%) c) Participant(s) Competences (40%) d) Idea market potential (20%). Beneficiaries’ selection will be carried out by two senior evaluators from University of Ioannina.
Does it cost?
No the training is offered for free.
Other requirements
Participants need to bring their own laptops.
